Job Responsibilities
- Keep trucks in good shape by doing regular stuff like changing oil, rotating tires, and switching filters.
- Figure out what’s wrong with trucks (mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic problems) and fix them using special tools.
- Look closely at trucks to find potential problems, do tests to know what’s wrong, and say what repairs are needed.
- Fix or change big parts like engines, transmissions, brakes, and steering systems when they’re not working right.
- Follow the rules from the truck maker, use manuals, and do repairs and maintenance in a safe way.
- Keep good records of all the fixes, what parts are in stock, and when the trucks need maintenance.
- Drive the trucks after fixing them to make sure everything is working okay.
Minimum Requirements
- Worked on trucks before, especially the big ones.
- Know how to use tools and do repairs on trucks and big vehicles.
- Good at solving problems, especially when trucks have tricky issues.
- Know the safety rules, use manuals, and follow the laws.
- Went to a school that taught about fixing cars or trucks.
- Have a driver’s license and a clean driving record (they might check how well you drive).
